Spooky movies! Shaun of the Dead

"You've got some red on you. . ."

Shaun is a young English fellow who is trying to get his life in order. His girl just broke up with him, his retail job is sucking out his soul, his dream evening involves his favorite pub. . . oh, and the flesh-eating zombies just showed up.

This is one of my favorite comedies of all time. Not at all spooky, but a nice break from my October horror movie fest. My favorite scene involves Shaun and his roommate Ed trying to kill slow-moving zombies by throwing household objects, including records from Shaun's prized vinyl collection, at the zombie's heads. The movie is very smart, very funny, a bit gory and will surprise you. Oh, and if you get the DVD with the extras, make sure to watch the bit with Coldplay. Genius.
"Barbara, we're coming to get you. . ."

  1. Ha ha, love that movie! It's been a couple of years since I've seen it but I remember being hugely entertained.
