Bedecked, bedazzled and bedraggled

I spent yesterday decorating my little place with all of my Christmas treasures. I'm kind of fussy about Christmas decorations (surprise!), so it takes me a bit of time to get the whole ordeal complete. Here is my teeny tiny tree, so completely overloaded with ornaments that it looks like it wants to give up. My mom bought the pink treetop angel on her honeymoon. I also have a thing for butterfly and bird ornaments, and flowers. Yes, the tree is bolted to the wall to prevent potential kitten destruction. I didn't even get out my big old bag of creamy velvet white poinsettas. I may dig those out of the top of the hall closet here in the next couple of days and see if I can't find somewhere for them to live.

Here's my metal etagere, with snowmen, reindeer and a little silver tinky tree that looks like a Dr. Seuss drawing. I completely forgot that I had these spun reindeer with twiggy legs and antlers. I got a little emotional when I unwrapped them, because they're so cool and I just love them.

And here's my disco ode to silver arrangement, complete with a feather tree, glittering grandiosity and, yes, Barbie in all of her drag queen glory.

And last, but certainly not least, the world's most devastating feline Christmas elf. I've picked up many a crashed Christmas tree due to this creature. He loves all of the decorations. He loves them right up close and personal, with claws and teeth.

  3. "He loves all of the decorations. He loves them right up close and personal, with claws and teeth." This line made me chuckle! I think we're all familiar with that teeth-gritting sound of a plastic bauble bouncing across the floor in the middle of the night... or worse...
