The "Tangled up in Blue" Experiment

Here's the story. After writing about Harry over at 365monsters, and his experiment to draw a monster a day for 365 days (at least it wasn't a leap year), I've decided to jump into this idea I've had for a few months--to create a piece of jewelry for each line from a Bob Dylan song.

My original song pick was "Subterranean Homesick Blues," because that song has such wonderfully outlandish lines, and a lot of them, very very fast. However, the first line, "Johnny's in the basement mixing up the medicine," stumped me. "I'm on the pavement, thinking about the government. . ." As a bracelet, not sure?

So, I decided to review different song options, and settled on "Tangled up in Blue." It has great lines as well, and is nearly narrative! So, here is the first piece, to coincide with the first line, "Early one morning the sun was shining, I was laying in bed. . ."

The cohesive thread across the line will be, of course, blue! I have learned from "Project Runway" that every line must be cohesive.
Easy enough. We'll see how it's going six months from now, when I'm on stanza three, eh? But I love a challenge, and this will cause me to approach jewelry making with a fresh eye and a new angle. How great is that?
And, if this works out, maybe I could do the same thing with King Lear? Joking. . . maybe. . .

Here are the lyrics to "Tangled up in Blue," if you'd like to see where we're headed. I'm kind of curious myself. . .
