I have no idea what these tags were originally used for. Maybe to number hotel room doors where mysterious rendezvous took place. Maybe to label drawers or cabinets that housed secret spy documents during World War One. When I saw them, my instant reaction was, Oooooo, I can make necklaces out of those. They have a great weight and feel to them, and the little brass star charm that I added makes a nice little "ding" noise when it hits the tag. I have a couple more, so we'll see what else I can come up with. I love finding new, unusual materials because I never know how it's going to end up. Sometimes, it's tragic, believe me. This time, I think it was a success!
