My newest dangerous addiction

Okay, if you're an etsy person, and you've visited the Forums, then you have been there when a Forum thread is shut down--either for disclosing specific transaction or buyer info, or just for general fighting and arguing. There is a blog that lists all of these closed transactions. It's amazing to me how people will behave behind the anonymity of a screen name. Unfortunately, once you start reading these, you may be unable to stop. Hello, it's 10:39 and I have accomplished nada this morning.

  4. Yep, I have to admit I've been following Closed Threads for months. It's sick, just plain sick! I start reading one and then go digging for clues and backstories and before you know it time has slipped away and I'm left feeling like a sneaky little sleuth! Okay, not to make things worse, but have you read Puss Daddy yet? Oh my, she is so freakin' funny and she writes a lot about closed threads, as well as items from the Callin' Out on Etsy blog:

  5. Oh, yeah, I've read her, too! etsy is just like a small town sometimes, isn't it? We're all up in each other's business.

  6. Closed threads is one of my guilty pleasures too. But it's nice to see that some people actually do get good advice and help regarding buyer/seller problems before the threads get closed for calling out. I really want to see that People's Court episode! LOL However, I could have done without all the Roman Polanski stuff from a few days ago.

  7. Yeah, the Polanski thing just got way out of hand. I'll play in some of them, but not when it gets political or religious or anything else that might make people genuinely upset.
